It’s your tun to share and link up! This week we’d like you to interview your kids and ask them to share what they like most about Thanksgiving, how do they describe Thanksgiving? This should be fun, we are so excited to read the answers, the good, the bad and the…uh…creative!

Now it’s our panel’s turn. This week they share who inspires them to be to be thankful. We all have a special someone or a memory of a special someone who impacted our lives in a positive way. Someone who makes us want to be better people. Here is what our panel had to say.
April ~ First and foremost is Jesus. His sacrifice for mankind and unfailing love make me thankful every day. I am thankful for my grandparents. I learned from them how to work hard, cherish family and always act in an honorable way. Thankfulness for family permeates my life. My children and my husband are what life, for me, is all about. Raising the children that God gave us with an amazing husband and father is more than I could want.
Mary ~ I have a network of mom friends I have met over the years who inspire me to be thankful. Most of these moms are my mentors who have children older than mine, so they are able to look back on these times and remind me to be thankful for all of the small things my children say/do. Also, my children inspire me to be thankful because it is a part of their childlike natures to be grateful. What a blessing they are to me.
Renae ~ My pioneer ancestors. I am strengthened by their examples and admire what they were able to create out of barren desert. They made blossoming orchards and lovely homes out of almost nothing. It makes me appreciate the simple things- running water, showers, a soft bed, medicine and quick transportation. Whenever I feel like things are really hard in my life, I think of them. Suddenly my problems seem so small and manageable and I feel like I can conquer anything.
Rebecca ~ Who inspires me to be thankful? My husband. He has a difficult job, and it keeps him away from us for many long hours during the week. He never complains about work, or when I do not get things finished at home. He just loves me….and thanks me!
Tonya ~ This is a tough question because there is not one person that has shown me how much I have to be thankful for, but many- my husband, my mother, my grandmother and some of my close friends. My children inspire me to be thankful because as they continue to grow I want them to realize the many blessings that they have. I can teach this by modeling a thankful heart and attitude in my own life.
Melanie ~ My children inspire me to be thankful. I want to raise children for whom gratitude is just their nature. Complaining and gratitude simply cannot exist in the same place, so if I raise children full of gratitude, then there is no room for complaining. This is a lesson I am working on myself!
Maggie ~ My youngest daughter inspires me to be thankful. If it wasn’t for God’s persistent knocking on my heart, I would not have gotten pregnant with her. During my pregnancy God took me through a process of learning to trust Him with everything in my life and I began to see all of the blessings He has given me so clearly. Just looking at her and rocking her everyday reminds me to be thankful for all I have.
Shannon ~ My family, of course. Looking back with my 20/20 hindsight, it amazes me how selfish I was before I was married and had my daughter. I give thanks everyday for my family now. I want them to see “the very best” of me.
Jessica ~ Jesus Christ is my hero and the one who inspires me to be thankful. Reading the Word, listening to sermons, and reading other Christian books reminds me to be thankful for what I have. He is unparalleled in grace and mercy to us and inspires me to be thankful and content with every blessing and trial that comes my way.
