Welcome to learning through discovery with Master Books’ Creation, Thirteen 6-in-1 Comphrensive Curriculum Lessons, by David & Helen Haidle and Mary A. Hake. Each of the thirteen lessons incorporates a variety of learning activities for the subjects of : science, math, Bible study, language arts, spelling and art. In addition, each lesson includes a “Character Connection” highlighting virtues such as wisdom, diligence and cooperation. Each component is solidly grounded in Scripture.
One of my family’s favorite lessons has been the theme of “God Creates the Sky”. While the learning objective is to communicate basic base-ten properties, your little scholar is intently dropping water upon paper and gathering each set of ten drops into a rain cloud! While we’re speaking about the sky, let’s learn to create and divide compound weather words and classify clouds. Introduce children to the wax reisist technique as you create your own sky masterpieces! And just when you think you’ve learned a great deal about the sky, lay on the grass beneath a sunny summer sky and discuss all you’ve discovered about God’s creation.

This looks really neat! I like how it reinforces the lesson being taught through math, spelling, etc. Additional resources found at the links provided is also a plus! There is so much good stuff out there that it’s difficult to know what to invest in but this is inviting!
Nice to hear the great review and comments about my lessons. I enjoyed activities like these while homeschooling and my daughters are both now teachers. Love to visit with anyone interested. I developed the lessons and wrote all the text. The Haidles supervised the project and David illustrated the book.
Wow, we are embarking on homeschool with a 4th and 1st grader in the fall, starting at the beginning. Planning a trip to the Creation Museum in KY over the summer to gear up. This sounds like an awesome summer package to get us warmed up for the fall! Please enter me, thanks.
